Roman Vondrouš (*1975) Roman Vondrouš has been working as a photojournalist for the Czech Press Agency (ČTK) since 2005, where he is

He has won prestigious international photography competitions such as World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year International, AIPS Sport Media Awards, Istanbul Photo Awards and Sony World Photography Awards.

He is a multi-time winner of the Czech Press Photo photography competition, including two Photography of the Year awards and the Prague Mayor's Grant. The Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic awarded him the Personality of Czech Photography award in 2022.

The collection of photographs on display depicts street life in Cuba's capital city, set against a backdrop of ramshackle houses, among which lumbering American cars from its heyday. Chevrolet, Buick, Volga, Chrysler or Cadillac - there is no better metaphor for Cuba's recent history and present than this vintage show. But time can't be stopped, and it's very likely that even Havana will cease to be a photogenic open-air museum where the last half-century is on display in one place.
